Gone Girl (2014)

Within the first hour, the script was wonderful, albeit slightly predictable. In the last hour, it went downhill and was worse with (and after) the hospital scene. BA's acting was acceptable, nothing more. Pretty good cast overall.

Gone Girl (2014)

Like Fincher's Fight Club, Gone Girl should not be taken at face value. Though it looks and feels like a gritty murder mystery, it's much closer to a comedy than a thriller. It's gloomy and grim, but very funny. It's one deliciously twisted genre-bendre.

Gone Girl (2014)

Gone Girl's gory, gloomy, and good but not gratifying. A couple of the commencing conversations were carelessly cute but Flynn's fiction found its footing. The acting was all admirable despite Doogie's dawdling dude. Don't do it as a date.

Gone Girl (2014)

Crawlingly compelling. Clichés with Pike's character are avoided with considerable command and Affleck actually pulls off the villain. Far out, Fincher.

Gone Girl (2014)

Solid and compelling without being all that interesting. Is that possible? Affleck is serviceable, but I find Pike really boring in whatever she's in. Fincher milks the mystery really nicely and the direction is the film's strong point.

Gone Girl (2014)

Not sure how I am suppose to feel about this film. David Fincher takes it and rolls with the dark aspects of the book. Transition in the film seems weird and awkward. I recommend watching it. I did enjoy it, but I still need to sit back and take it all in.
