Synopsis:

When Chef Carl Casper suddenly quits his job at a prominent Los Angeles restaurant after refusing to compromise his creative integrity for its controlling owner, he is left to figure out what's next. Finding himself in Miami, he teams up with his ex-wife, his friend and his son to launch a food truck. Taking to the road, Chef Carl goes back to his roots to reignite his passion for the kitchen -- and zest for life and love.

The cheap sentimentality almost but didn't quite ruin this movie for me. It worked on a lot of levels, but the characters and relationships felt slapped together. Still - it was innocuous enough that it could all be forgiven and you could turn your head off and enjoy the ride.

Light, tasty, and easy to digest, but will leave you wanting more. Chef feels like a minor work - almost a pet project - for the man behind blockbusters like Iron Man. But that's really the worst thing you can say about this otherwise very enjoyable comedy. Bon appétit.

Feel-good food porn. Spectacular soundtrack. Adequate acting from all albeit Anthony's amazing and Sofia sucks. Quite content with the comical cameos.
