The Giver (2014)

Big fan of the book, so it was disappointing to see a great conceit be executed as poorly as it was. With such quality source material and a puzzlingly good cast, this should have been better.

The Giver (2014)

Not a failed book to movie adaptation but there is something terribly awkward about both the acting and the way this movie was shot. Probably one of those stories that should have just remained a classic in it's original form.

The Giver (2014)

It compares to Divergent & Hunger Games. There is always a twist to living in a perfect society. A somewhat simplified, but still complex film. Visually beautiful. Yet something's amiss. (Based on Lois Lowry's book.)

The Giver (2014)

Formulaic and far from fresh fiction adapted adequately to A-list actors and actresses. Vanilla vanquishes vivid visuals.
