The Martian (2015)

Loved the story, hated the characters. Okay, maybe not Matt Damon and the guy in charge of the rocket team, but everyone else! Seriously though, despite problems with characterization and plot development, The Martian is still a fun ride. The good outweighs the bad.

The Martian (2015)

Ridley Scott doing what he does best. I like the fact that, despite the circumstances he was in, Damon's character managed to maintain a sense of humor throughout that made his performance feel real.

The Martian (2015)

Damon has a lot of misses on this resume, but The Martian isn't one of them. He carries this great survival story. The novel concept and steady and satisfying plot progression make this a really good watch. You're invested in his survival early and are not disappointed.

The Martian (2015)

Sci-fi? More like sci-fairly-plausible! Well written, well cast, well shot, well made. The basic premise is enough to get my attention, but this film was both clever and entertaining enough to keep me invested for its nearly 2.5 hour run-time. I definitely recommend this film.
