Cape Fear (1962)

Chilling. For a sixties film, Cape Fear is surprisingly progressive. How many movie from this time period can you name that address a taboo topic like rape so directly? Overall very solid, but specifically worth seeing for Robert Mitchum, who steals every scene he's in.
