High Noon (1952)

With its great premise and unique real time storytelling, it's remarkable how flat this film is. There's so little tension and character development that when the final showdown finally arrives, it feels frivolous and silly. Interesting for historical reasons, but disappointing.

High Noon (1952)

Seeing events unfolding in real time is engaging. Though, an overly simple and repetitive story hurt this film. The abrupt ending kills all momentum the film had gained, throwing time and several storylines to the wind. [8/52]
