Interstellar (2014)

It was almost three hours, but it didn't drag once. The last act was narratively disappointing for my taste, but still done well. The sci-fi concepts are thoughtful and consistent. Aesthetically gorgeous, and the cast is great. If you like films about space, you'll like this.

Interstellar (2014)

Nolan doesn't really do small scale anymore but luckily he is pretty good a grand scale. Interesting idea and certainly well put together, although the 2001ish last section was a little out of step with the rest.

Interstellar (2014)

Nolan didn't go dumb on this movie, its just so grandiose and majestic that any tiny hiccup seemed like a jutting spike. I would say he hasn't gotten this ambitious since Memento (or ever). Not perfect, but parts of it were, and that's good enough for me.

Interstellar (2014)

Oh Interstellar. You've got interest one minute and then maudlin mediocrity the next ten. Ultimately there are more faults than successes. Despite your touted veracity, the science as you presented it was so intolerably quack. And you're not as striking as your trailer suggests.

Interstellar (2014)

Interstellar (in Imax) in intervals: initially inviting, immediately insipid, intermediately intriguing, then insidiously insubstantial. None of Nolan's names are noticeable. Some of the space cinematography is stunning, some shabby.

Interstellar (2014)

A bold attempt at the sci-fi epic ruined by plot holes and sentimentality. Nolan wanted to make the next 2001, but he has neither the patience nor the discipline to develop his ideas into anything coherent, let alone philosophical. Interstellar is a visual treat, but little more.

Interstellar (2014)

The movie has 3 distinct acts, only the 2nd getting a passable grade, the first being poorly executed, and the third being as though it came from the mind of a retarded 13 yr old star trek fan. Huge disappointment. Probably still worth seeing - but temper you expectations.
