Lincoln (2012)

A fascinating historical picture and a spellbinding political intrigue. I can't see any other director but Spielberg for this. Amazing performance by Day-Lewis.

Lincoln (2012)

Drama develops dryly proceeding to pick up passion. Spielberg's certainly shaped some superior stuff (ditto DDL) but this blockbuster's baller. Tommy's triumphant.

Lincoln (2012)

Daniel Day Lewis is undoubtedly an incredibly gifted actor and he is riveting. We are drawn into the period and the history is fascinating. Just not as overawed with the movie as whole as some reviewers seem to be.

Lincoln (2012)

Good, but not as droolingly great as it's been made out to be. I can't blindingly take a bite of the big ol' apple pie that is American political mythology ... bit too sweet, too cloying. But, DDL is charming as Lincoln (no shit) & his stories alone make the film worth it.

Lincoln (2012)

I watched this without thinking the content would interest me much but expecting to see Daniel Day-Lewis in fine form. The story, and the way it unfolded, really surprised me though, not that you don't know what was gonna happen. I'd be surprised if DDL doesn't get the oscar.

Lincoln (2012)

Not nearly as biographical as one would expect; Lincoln is less about the man and more about the politics of the Civil War. Its only flaw is that it tries to do too much at times, but with such talent both behind and in front of the camera, it proves to be a smashing success.

Lincoln (2012)

Both effortless and unstoppable at the same time, Lincoln moves along like a freight train in first gear and a boffo performance from DDL is it's engine. Even though there may be some Spielberg-y moments, this is far better than the Oscar-bait tag it's been saddled with.
