Synopsis:

Lola receives a phone call from her boyfriend Manni. He lost 100,000 DM in a subway train that belongs to a very bad guy. She has 20 minutes to raise this amount and meet Manni. Otherwise, he will rob a store to get the money. Three different alternatives may happen depending on some minor event along Lola's run.

Writer-director Tykwer is brilliant: he used animation, color & black-and-white film, music video effects & camera tricks to tell Lola’s adventures: an imaginative way to convey a movie’s story. Visually inventive & exciting, it is surprisingly original despite its simple plot.

Excellent, excellent, excellent film. I have been in love with Franke Potente ever since. Once saw her on a street in Berlin and took all my strength not to chase her like an idiot, gushing groupie.
