Somewhere (2010)

I wanted to like Somewhere, but so much is recycled from Lost in Translation, it felt like I'd seen it before. Despite a number of wonderful scenes - especially between Dorff and Fanning - the film's overall lack of fresh ideas make for a tiresome watch.

Somewhere (2010)

Felt like it was over before anything happened. Somewhere is aflush with all the usual Coppola themes of existential crisis and celebrity ennui, but this is the first time I was bothered by it. It's beautiful at times, but this whole film punctuates tired.
