Speed (1994)

I've seen this literally 100 times (the only film available in the country where I was then so I have a special relationship with this film). Action, romance, comedy - what's not to love? Yeah it works despite the overacted performances. And the cheesy script.

Speed (1994)

It's almost hard to understand why this movie works. On it's face, the story is comical, the acting is overdone (not including Jeff Daniels) and the character's motives are thin at best. But man, it works.
