Synecdoche, New York (2008)

Geez, I usually love the Kauf. He always has these fascinating ideas, but always managed to make them accessible and fun to near-anyone. He really let go of his balloon on this one. Though aside from being confusing and extremely unclear, still kinda neat.

Congratulations art film for art's sake, you made me feel out of sorts for 2 days and I'm sure you're proud of that. Dreary and nihilistic are not words I usually associate with Kaufman scripts but maybe it was the directors fault. What? He directed it himself? Bastard.
