The Royal Tenenbaums (2001)

Directors:

Wes Anderson

Writers:

Actors:

Gary Evans, Wes Anderson, Stephen Dignan, Eric Chase Anderson, Brian Tenenbaum, Sam Hoffman

Synopsis:

Royal Tenenbaum and his wife Etheline had three children and then they separated. All three children are extraordinary --- all geniuses. Virtually all memory of the brilliance of the young Tenenbaums was subsequently erased by two decades of betrayal, failure, and disaster. Most of this was generally considered to be their father's fault. "The Royal Tenenbaums" is the story of the family's sudden, unexpected reunion one recent winter.

The Royal Tenenbaums (2001)

For a film about accepting imperfections, I can't see any in it. Wes uses such a similar style in his movies I'd almost start to get sick of it if he wasn't the only person making movies that I enjoy in this manner. Also he doles out amazing lines and scenes like Jolly Ranchers.

The Royal Tenenbaums (2001)

"Everyone knows Custer died at Little Bighorn. What this book presupposes is... maybe he didn't?" I'm an unabashed Wes Anderson fan and this is one of his best.
