Zero Dark Thirty (2012)

Could have used some trimming for pacing but not too much, maybe 15 minutes or so. A fine example of a geopolitical spy thriller that's grounded in an identifiable reality, not that such things are necessary to make a good movie.

Zero Dark Thirty (2012)

Worth watching I'd say and not nearly as over-the-top, pro-American as I was expecting. It highlights a number of aspects of the "war on terror" without moralizing (for better or worse) about any of it, leaving you to draw your own conclusions.

Zero Dark Thirty (2012)

Not much to add. The last third is basically the greatest thing I've seen in a while. So much so that the first two thirds seem weak retroactively. There's some strange casting choices... But all around extremely gripping.

Zero Dark Thirty (2012)

Every scene that wasn't the raid scene was an excuse to waste time until the raid scene because they couldn't make the entire movie the raid scene. Amazing detail, but they had to inject things into the movie to make it more conventional (like plot and characters). Uninnovative.

Zero Dark Thirty (2012)

Compressing the hunt for UBL into 2.5 hours could not have been easy. Bigelow and Boal clearly took some factual liberties, but their blend of fiction and history was entirely appropriate and it ultimately produced one of the more thought-provoking films of the year.

Zero Dark Thirty (2012)

This is what I would think the hunt for Osama was like. However, I have a strong dislike for the cliché of a hard-working employee under the employ of an incompetent boss. Drinking game: During the final strike do as many push-ups as you can, then relax with a cheap US beer.

Zero Dark Thirty (2012)

Very solid. Jessica Chastain deserving of Oscar nod, and possible win. Navy Seal beards deserving of best supporting actor nod. Realize the story is not exactly what happened, but like the fact that the SEAL raid scene is about the same length of the actual raid. Go Chris Pratt

Zero Dark Thirty (2012)

This fast-paced geo-political film enshrines Bin Ladens death as a watershed moment in the war on terror. So much hype for this supposedly best movie of the year. It was pretty awesome, but i think there have been other movies I've enjoyed more. Still very very good though.
