American Beauty (1999)

Mendes and menagerie make a masterful movie. Strong showing by Spacey. Conversely, Chris Cooper's character's as contrived as the commentary. Still some solid shit.

American Beauty (1999)

This was almost my 69th review (haha, pedophilia) but this movie deserves better than me using it for an awful throwaway gag. I'll compare it to a movie I just just reviewed; Adaption, Its similar in gusto but completely serious. Never painful to watch though. Give it a go.

American Beauty (1999)

Love this movie dearly and I always feel the same when it ends, but certain things irk me more with every watch - while performances are strong, dialogue is profoundly unnatural and the voice-over is sort of silly. Basically I feel like this film could have used more lubrication.
