Big Fish (2003)

Big fish merges the real and the fantastical in a way that doesn't seem awkward. A genuinely touching ending that reduced me to slightly embarrassing sobs.

Big Fish (2003)

Tonally it's definitely a Tim Burton film but visually it goes somewhere else, which isn't something he does very often. That's not to say it's bad, this movie is gorgeous too look at and has a touching story framed as tall tales that might not be as exaggerated as first appears.
