Christine (1983)

The 80's fetishized the 50's and this is a great example of that, brought to us by John Carpenter, in a very different kind of movie than we usually get from him, while still retaining some of his hallmarks.

Christine (1983)

If you tell someone the movie is about a sentient lady-car who kills people, they'll probably pass. Competent writing, realistic acting, and excellent directing makes it somehow believable, suspenseful, and ultimately enjoyable. Score needs more synth, though.
