Chronicle (2012)

Surprisingly smooth South African superpower shoot soars to semi-success. Acting's adequate, plot's passable, but dialogue degenerates.

Chronicle (2012)

Blairwitch meets X-men? Not quite. Paranormal Activity meets Powder? These home camera perspective movies are tough to pull off. In the end it results in a weak script and shitty dialogue. The movie wasn't altogether terrible though.

Chronicle (2012)

Give three modern teenagers telekinetic powers and watch what happens to their lives. This found footage film tries to break stereotypical character flaws and does succeed, but definitely could have been done better. Bonus drinking game: Drink when characters look constipated.

Chronicle (2012)

Maybe it's because I've seen a LOT of terrible movies lately, but I thought this was really good! I'm not a big fan of the handheld-style, and it didn't seem necessary here, but the characters really took me for a ride with them and I happily went. Really great, emotional, fun.
