Dredd (2012)

Fun action mixed with enough grit to cover a small beach. This adaptation is a lot more to tone with its source material. Brave of them to keep Dredds helmet on throughout the film. Comparisons to The Raid are not unfair but it is a slightly different beast.

Dredd (2012)

Been described as "an unwanted franchise reboot, with an unknown actor who doesn't show his face (NZ's Karl Urban). Oh, and also, the exact plot of a recent and "better" movie. Despite all this, a good time if your into the action. GOT's Lena Headey without the incest.

Dredd (2012)

I guess this is Dredd done right. I've sure seen it done wrong. Mindless violence that is great hangover aid (I'd recommend some kettle cooked chips to supplement).

Dredd (2012)

Funny how a 70 can be a disappointment or an unexpected surprise - the latter in this case. B-movie material at it's best - light plot, lots of violence and gore, and hilarious one-liners from Judge Dredd himself. If you don't take it seriously this one is pretty fun.

Dredd (2012)

Over-the-top violent in places, I do not need to see that many heads explode so graphically, but all in all it was enjoyable. My immediate reaction was not favourable but as the days wear on, I enjoyed it. MaMa was particularly good, as far as villains go.

Dredd (2012)

Takes itself a little too seriously but on balance is gritty, violent and surprisingly stylish. Dredd manages to steer clear of most action movie cliches and stays the better for it particularly in the first hour or so. It succumbs later, but for what it is it ain't bad.
