Election (1999)

Because of this movie I will vouch for Alexander Payne even if he makes a thousand The Descendants. I've seen it countless times and Election continues to deliver belly laughs, discoveries in the characters, and even discoveries in myself. Beautiful hate story.

Election (1999)

This was absolutely excellent. It felt authentic, like everyone involved had spent ages observing actual teenagers and how they react to things. For me, it was a depressing look at losing everything over some trivial event.

Election (1999)

Alexander Payne's movies never really get me as excited as they do for a lot of the critical community. Election was touted as some underseen comedy classic and the truth is I thought it was fine, but that's about it. It was nice to see an evil Reese Witherspoon though.
