Looper (2012)

Great action with that sort of grounded sci fi aesthetic you sometimes see where those elements are almost entirely in concept but rarely on the screen. Watched selectively, most of this wouldn't even look like science fiction. There's a touch of Akira in there as well.

Looper (2012)

Nonsensical concept: The future me comes back to now--thus no longer a "future" me but an older version of me in the present--but anything I do to myself now affects him as if he were still in the future, and not in the present. Thought this was a "smart" film.

Looper (2012)

Had this on my watchlist for a while, everyone said it was great and for some bonehead reason I kept pushing off watching it. If you are in the same boat, stop whatever the hell you are doing right now and watch this. A great story (that involves time travel).

Looper (2012)

This was a great sci-fi flick. Interesting premise - decent enough characters - good action and the plot moved along nicely. The CGI on JGL face was pretty unnecessary though. I get it - he's a young Bruce Willis. Give us some credit. Surpassed expectations though.

Looper (2012)

The first half was absolute dynamite. But the psychic-when-angry kid cliche just makes me want to fuck right out of the theater. Bruce Willis was a Hannibal (SOTLambs) of sorts, relatively low screen time, walked away with his performance on the brain. Missed potential GALORE!

Looper (2012)

Pretty solid action thriller with a nice sci-fi twist. Some parts were a little over the top, but overall a very enjoyable movie.

Looper (2012)

A little uneven and a little strange, but a good time none the less. JGL and Bruce make a good team even if they're not exactly on the same team. There's a good premise and story here, but despite its strengths I still walked out a little disappointed. Go figure.

Looper (2012)

I had no interest in Looper, but I was definitely wrong. If you can suspend hard scientific criticisms there's a surprisingly integral experience to be found. Themes of introspection, growth, humanity and consequence are deeply woven, but deftly handled. Good, good stuff.

Looper (2012)

A+ stuff! The trailer and name really made me not want to see this. But this sci fi was a treat. My plot expectations were completely wrong and really enjoyed the character development. Not the usual! Bonus drinking game: Drink every time Joseph purses his lips like Bruce Willis!

Looper (2012)

Like all time-travel films this is loaded with paradoxes which made it hard to swallow at times. There are a few incredibly contrived scenes lurking as well but despite all of that this still managed to be a fun two hours with a bleak but recognizable vision of the future.
