Primer (2004)

Should have knocked this one off the list a long time ago. Pretty great little 73 minute indie sci-fi. I'm a sucker for this kind of movie and this one keeps a familiar topic simple and intriguing.

Primer (2004)

This film plunks you into the eye of the fly on the wall in some insane shit you won't understand but you won't be able to look away from.

Primer (2004)

A twisty ouroborus of a plot cements this little $7000 gem as proof of what a talented filmmaker can do with limited resources. The story is king and this film really shows that grounded sci-fi can work in the right hands.

Primer (2004)

Not going to pretend I understand 10% of this (even after considerable pre-reading) but I enjoyed the ride for what I could. It's in all likelihood the most intelligent movie I've ever seen and there's nothing turning me off about it besides my own intellectual limitations.

Primer (2004)

Intelligent modern sci-fi is somewhat hard to come by, but this movie does it without hand-holding or talking down to the audience.

Primer (2004)

When looking at the "Space Time Continuum" within movies, it is too easy to find paradoxes. That is not the case with Primer where it is almost too neat and tidy for such a complex topic.
