Serenity (2005)

The first time I watched this movie I hadn't seen the TV series firefly and thought it was incredibly average. But after watching the TV, this movie will now always be a favorite of mine. What makes this series special is not the plot or theme, but the characters.

Serenity (2005)

Serenity is a competent and snappy distillation of the cult classic Firefly series. The movie is about as good as it can be given the inappropriateness of the format for a brilliant cast of characters that need a series to really breathe. We'll take it any way we can get it.
