Super 8 (2011)

I really loved this. Will it be as memorable as "E. T."? Probably not. But I do think it will speak to this generation similar to the way "E. T." spoke to ours. One of my faves of 2011!

Super 8 (2011)

Absolute Amblin. Abrams stages a love letter to the films of the early 80's and I think scores with this one. Fun, exciting and nostalgic in the best sort of way.

Super 8 (2011)

Super 8 plays like a love letter to the Amblin films of the 80s and 90s. Too bad JJ Abrams felt the need to showcase his superhuman ability of ruining any property with a generic monster.

Super 8 (2011)

Abrams does Spielberg doing X-Files with the cast of the Goonies. Slick production, competent child actors, and a classic sci-fi adventure plot. The film falls short at the end, but it's good fun if you're in the right mood.
