The Sound of Music (1965)

Too twee for my liking, but I can see why it holds such an iconic place in film history. It's very grand (the opening scene alone is pretty incredible). Also nice to see the source of so many famous songs. I doubt I'll return to it anytime soon, but I'm glad to have seen it.

The Sound of Music (1965)

This movie has everything, it's a love story, and a war fleeing type story, and there are songs and precocious youngsters and nuns, and nazis, and evil plotting baronesses! It's great. Just great.
