The Warriors (1979)

I want to live in this world. I can already picture the outfits my gang would wear. Something with leopard print probably... It's no surprise this has become such a cult film. It's cheesy and camp, but never feels like a guilty pleasure. The stakes are always real. It's awesome.

The Warriors (1979)

Is this an Odyssey-ian tale? I think it is, either way it's fantastic. Luther is a great villian, but man Ajax is a wee bit too homophobic.

The Warriors (1979)

The Warriors sets ancient mythology in a modern, gang drenched New York rendered through the vivid filter of comic book sensibility, addictive synth and singular style. I don't know what makes The Warriors so resiliently iconic, but there's no question that it is.
