Watchmen (2009)

Despite having dressed as Silk Spectre for Halloween three years ago, I don't feel qualified to review this. My impressions, in such an order, were "wow, Snyder's got some skills," to "Manhattan is really moody" to "what is Ozymandias doing here" to "this movie is too long."

Watchmen (2009)

To those who love the graphic novel (myself included: it's one of the best things I've ever read), it's a welcome translation of the original. Judged solely as a film, however, it's OK; the novel is simply too complex, too far-reaching and smart to compress into a feature film.

Watchmen (2009)

I cannot stress how perfect an adaption of a comic book / ANYTHING this is. They took one of the best comics I've ever read and changed nothing about it (already amazing) except for one plot device they added that for me, made it even better. Watch even if you missed the g-novel.
