Blue Is the Warmest Color (2013)

two gripes: editing. this film could have lost twenty minutes and you'd never know. and is it necessary to put the colour blue in every single shot? gets to be kitschy after a while. otherwise, worth the watch for the masterful performance by the lead. this is great acting.

Blue Is the Warmest Color (2013)

Didn't mind the runtime here. Unfortunately a couple of parts just didn't make a lot of sense and the editing could have been stronger even allowing the huge length. The main thing though is that characters are wholly believable and the conclusion made me feel genuine sadness.

Blue Is the Warmest Color (2013)

The 3 hr run time was excessive, but it did let the scenes and characters breathe, and really set in. I appreciated the honesty of the very raw emotional relationship, because you really don't get that in many North American movies. And the sex... Jesus, the sex.
