Let the Right One In (2008)

A rather lovely Swedish vampire film that I waited a long time to watch, partially to diffuse the mountain of praise it got on release from possibly causing disappointment. I can safely say 9 years removed from release that it earned its love.

Let the Right One In (2008)

A lot to be said for this. For one, as a film privileging both children and vampires, it's remarkably absent of turn-off tropes. A real less-is-more winner, and this extends to the stellar performances of both young leads. Felt uneasily sad and then uneasily happy.
