Monsters (2010)

They definitely did a lot with a little here. I was impressed, but in the end, this movie isn't going to stay with you for long.

Monsters (2010)

Starts as a brimming-with-potential, alien invasion movie with a twist. Ends as a hamfisted love story/war parable/illegal immigration allegory. That it was made on the cheap is something to be proud of, but if this movie had cost $50,000,000, we wouldn't be talking about it.

Monsters (2010)

Lets hope this makes sense to you. This is basically an indie film that got slammed into a giant monster movie and was pretty successful at accomplishing the standard goals of both tropes. For a $500,000 budget this thing looks gorgeous.
