Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011)

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this. There's a fair amount of over acting and questionable dialogue, but all is redeemed by Andy Serkis's inspired performance as Caesar, the ape leader. The man knows how to rock a motion capture suit.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011)

A very compelling prequel that kept me on the edge of my seat. Andy Serkis needs to be recognized for this film, there was a point about midway thought where there wasn't a word uttered for 20 minutes but Serkis' body language spoke volumes.
