This Is 40 (2012)

I like pretty much everything Judd Apatow does, and this was no exception. It's funny, it's real, it's silly, and I found it lead to a bit of reflection. His movies tend to be long, but they're always worth it.

This Is 40 (2012)

I did not like this movie. It felt like nothing happened during the 2+ hour running time. Losing faith in Judd Apatow movies. When Megan Fox is a bright spot (and not for her looks), a movie is in trouble. The end credits are by far the best part of the movie, if you make it.

This Is 40 (2012)

This movie's identity crisis was distracting, because you watch a serious relationship movie and a fluffy comedy in different ways. I can't say I was a fan of the way the very funny and very depressing elements interacted, and the 134 minute run time was uncalled for.
