It Follows (2015)

It's fun and scary, and somehow manages to be both original and new while feeling familiar enough to earn nostalgia points. Something about the dialogue or writing or acting choices really kept me off balance the whole time (still undecided on how I feel about that). Watch it.

It Follows (2015)

Atmosphere is good but the pacing could use a touch of tightening up in the first third. I enjoy the early 80's John Carpenteresque score. There isn't much out there like it.

It Follows (2015)

You'll be left with some questions in a way that is neither bad nor good. For what is good, IF delivers deeply permeating psychological horror founded on latent and seldom addressed anxieties. It also boasts a thoughtful ending that is sadly all too absent from its genre.
