Very affecting, I'm not exactly sure how to put it, but while watching I was more than a viewer, I was part of the movie's mass. Engrossing and terrifying. I felt digested by the end of it.
The movie isn't really good or anything, but it was interesting to see how the worked around their extremely frugal budget, some of the things they did (to save money) were actually pretty impressive, but they couldn't hide everything.
Wow o Wow, I don't think ive ever seen a movie this discomforting that was this easy to watch. The ending didn't strike me as interesting at first, but then hit me like a ton of bricks. Actually almost made me cry... Surprise hit of the year!

A very mentionable thing about the movie is aside from maybe one or two awkward misses all the jokes are almost completely harmless and are held at almost no audience's expense. Which makes it impressively funny if not hilarious.

I feel kind of insecure giving this 100, it wasnt consistently perfect but the amount of intrigue that I felt throughout it was unparalleled and my jaw is still kind of on the ground from the ending.
It's only laugh-out-loud funny like twice, but the constant chuckles and cleverness more than make up for it. It really shows what great people can do with a concept that seems not so great.

To me its not about the internet at all. It's really about people getting into adult situations before they have the maturity to deal with them, which makes for incredibly interesting characters you can easily sympathize with even when they are jerkish. One of my favs.

Wow, It's like The Cabin in The Woods/Scream that never got popular. If you like horror-meta mash-ups it is extremely enjoyable. It does present itself for a touch more than its worth.

It is very comparable to Dragon Ball Z. Extremely stupid, canyon-sized plot holes, like... SHAMEFUL plot errors! Though through all of that it is compelling, has some interesting ideas, and you do care what happens next. So thumbs up I guess.
I don't think I've ever unironically used the term "too subtle", but this is. It kind of reminds me of a Cohen brother film but with less dialogue (actually make that NO dialogue). Acting was still good with what little they had to work with.
Nolan didn't go dumb on this movie, its just so grandiose and majestic that any tiny hiccup seemed like a jutting spike. I would say he hasn't gotten this ambitious since Memento (or ever). Not perfect, but parts of it were, and that's good enough for me.

Okay, I realize this will sound not genuine... but this is actually one of the best animated movies I've ever seen. Insanely beautiful, it actually has decent jokes as well, but the animation is just fucking amazing. Trust me, you will be caught off-guard by how much you like it.
Seth Macfalrene, creator of this generation's answer to The Simpsons, Family Guy, does it again. Sure to be a timeless classic from one of comedy and animation's most beloved son.

Reminds me a lot of 50s pop art, it's head is so far up its own ass it re-emerges out of the whole upper torso area where the head normally is, so it appears as just a pretty decent movie. Really likable cast. I think this movie wants me to care more about it than it warrants.

One thing found strangely absent from this film is quotable lines. Lacking legacy in its writing doesn't seem to take away from it though. It just feels genuine, no outrageous emotions, but the subdued true-to-life ones. Also Joaquin subtly nails the shit out of every scene.
I feel like the original script was a self-insert fanfiction (it honestly does not matter of what series). It's kinda like the wet dream of a reject goth girl plus Zooey Deschanel.
It had a lot of themes that interest me, maybe that's why I yearned for it to be better, even though it was well-made. Has the problem of being more into explaining ideas than crafting a real story integrating the ideas. If it had a gripping story it'd have been masterclass.

It's not good, guys. I was partially promised it would be, so I interpreted anything even remotely positive as something slightly more than neat. Which it isn't either. You weren't even going to know this existed, but now that you do, don't even think it will be good.
The most thrilling and immersive use of 3-D I have ever seen (I have not yet seen Life of Pi in 3D). Amazingly long rolling shots and absolutely breathtaking directing met with dialogue that, not feeling redundant, did not have the same gravitas or pull.
I find it chop-smacking that thousands of writers and directors every year can't come up with a more compelling and insightful story than something that actually happened. Its a bit tragic, very heart-warming, and will probably be heavy on my mind for the next couple minutes.
I seriously dug how rightly done the first completely chaotic half was, and after that the creeping suspense it puts out makes it tense as hell. But then it went from creepy-scary climax to power-fantasy climax. Still alright, but shifted to something I didn't want as much.

Movies with high energy that actually give a shit are always a treat. My hangups on some of the dialogue being a bit "Disney-teen" were completely out-weighed by the overload of semi-interesting ideas shown in a pretty fun way. Hemorrhages entertainment.

There is a very fascinating side venture to this movie. One side character, so universally likable that he seems to warp the movie around him (as much as he could be expected to). Aside, Cheesier than other Hostels, though not for lack of trying/creaivityt.
It is what you expect out of a modern horror movie,bit o' mystery, bit o' scary, and in the first half I thought it played its hand very well, but it lost anywhere from a couple to a lot of points when it started getting very unsubtle about what was going on. Cashs in badly.

This is a sequel where they carried over almost none of the good parts from the first and amplified the parts that just made me ill. I thought the first one was genuinely smart sometimes, because there were constraints that it had to follow. This one has none. Shit ensues.
I'll give my commendations to the directing for the intensity it was able to inject into scenes, scenes that couldn't be easily cranked up through other means. I guarantee you will be surprised by how much you are pumped up by this movie. Practically a thriller in nature.

Every scene that wasn't the raid scene was an excuse to waste time until the raid scene because they couldn't make the entire movie the raid scene. Amazing detail, but they had to inject things into the movie to make it more conventional (like plot and characters). Uninnovative.
I really love a lot of the ideas in it, not really taboo ones, but uncomfortable ones at least. But there were so many amateurish moments it squandered a lot of the potential I thought it had walking into it. I would call it an awkward jumble of good movies.
Its odd cyperpunk future bits are very fun to look at, from it being primarily props with that handmade feel to them. The plot itself either intentionally or unintentionally makes you question if what is happening is actually real, which is a first for me. Toppish notch.

For me and a lot of other people this is the Apatow peak of making fun characters and real life seem hilarious and captivating to watch. It almost plays out episodically which I don't count for or against, but it made watching it feel even easier. Anybody can enjoy this.
Even though the main character has a slightly worse case of sometimes-a-jealous-and-inattentive-dick syndrome than the usual movie of this type, Carrey can easily cash in his brownie points from other scenes. Also bonus points for having Freeman voice somewhere in there.

I don't know why this got less than the usual acclaim. Some very cool shots and uncanny valley CGI effects. Anderson-par cast (which means times better than most). More quest-driven story than usual, also traverses places Wes hasn't gone before. Very enjoyable.
For a film about accepting imperfections, I can't see any in it. Wes uses such a similar style in his movies I'd almost start to get sick of it if he wasn't the only person making movies that I enjoy in this manner. Also he doles out amazing lines and scenes like Jolly Ranchers.
I always find it incredible how much Wes trusts complex character interpretation to the viewer. That and this movie's beautiful sun-drenched aesthetic is what really made me enjoy it. Has amounts of respect for characters, the audience, and culture I never see in movies. Hearthy.
Its like the role Jim Carrey was born to play. I think that he can be a great seriousish actor, this movie combines that under utilised skill set with his inherrent Jim Carreyness with astounding dramedic results. Intriguing plot as well, with some incredible moments. So good.
I feel like this movie was 1-2 years late to the party. It has a ton of teen culture references in it that hit their peak 2 years ago. The jokes are pretty funny but I always got the feeling whatever it was had been done before (recently). This isn't a slag, it's alright.

If there's one thing Quentin knows how to do its to make you feel like the protagonist is totally justified in anything he does, Classic black-and-white, good-and-evil style action flick. What's more hateable than racists? But the cleverness of the film dies after about 2 hours.

I read the entire Wikipedia plot synopsis before watching this. Even so, in the way it was crafted I still had no idea what was going to happen next. Beautifully paced, amazing original laughs, likable actors, basically everything that's shit about the horror genre done right.

A perfect self parody of meta, Kaufman utilizes ideas so seemingly pretentious that they would make me turn it off right before thinking "At least I'm not as insufferable as the guy who made this" and balances them with awareness and self-deprecation to within milligrams. See it.
The first half was absolute dynamite. But the psychic-when-angry kid cliche just makes me want to fuck right out of the theater. Bruce Willis was a Hannibal (SOTLambs) of sorts, relatively low screen time, walked away with his performance on the brain. Missed potential GALORE!

I cannot stress how perfect an adaption of a comic book / ANYTHING this is. They took one of the best comics I've ever read and changed nothing about it (already amazing) except for one plot device they added that for me, made it even better. Watch even if you missed the g-novel.

Insanely captivating beginning, beginning-middle, and end, your eyes will be wacky glued to the screen. The only qualm I have with this movie is a fairly confusing Middle-end section (only about 15-20 minutes long) but you get back up to speed before the timeless finale. Rad.
I've tried to get over how narcissistic this is and I really can't. It had me a bit curious the first 20 minutes. That slowly waned as I realized that even if it gives an intriguing perspective, it doesn't give any answers or insight, just more questions. Fine for some people.

Creative and extremely smooth action sequences. The imagery is absolutely incredible. It delivers everything it promises and is an amazing iteration of the Bond series. The dialogue wasn't to my tastes at all, it was conversations comprised of one-liners, or a serious monologue.
This review might as well count for every Saw movie (even more so with the later ones). This film series is at the apex of morbid curiosity. You never want to stop watching no matter how bad the movie is or how shitty it makes you feel. Cool idea, but please don't watch.
