Take This Waltz (2011)

It looked good. At times I liked the writing, but other times it was just the worst. Felt like there were a lot of latent ideas that never got developed. Or they were obscured by the most unbearable protagonist since Greenberg's Greenberg.

Take This Waltz (2011)

I don't feel like i should be able to review this because as I put it on it got shit wrecked in a battle for my attention span with DOTA. But I will say this, I didn't think it was great but I feel it came out perfectly as someone intended in their head.

Take This Waltz (2011)

There is some emotional depth here, but the dialogue was wretched and really took me out of the film. Between this and Blue Valentine, just looking at Michelle Williams now bums me out.

Take This Waltz (2011)

While I can appreciate the depth of the characters and the honest dialogue, I found Margot's antics so irksome I almost didn't make it through the film. I wasn't left feeling moved, but instead rather unsatisfied.

Take This Waltz (2011)

I really liked this movie, although recognize it wasn't perfect. I haven't seen a movie in a while where you really feel the emotional gravity of what the characters are going through.... like it weighs on ya, y'know? Sarah Polley is really gettin' in to my good books.
