Synopsis:

In Venice Beach, naive Midwesterner JB bonds with local slacker KG and they form the rock band Tenacious D. Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny (2006)

It takes itself with equal piddling amounts of shame and seriousness. The lack of self-respect was actually something I found amusing, makes it feel very personable. One of the guiltiest of all pleasures. If enjoy rolling in mud this movie is worth a watch.
