The Descendants (2011)

There must have been some kind of disconnect between me and this movie, Clooney had a great performance and did nail a few scenes, but every other character just seemed dull. It had so many useless scenes and the ending had so little impact it could have been a tourist slideshow.

The Descendants (2011)

A surprisingly funny film about a rather dour subject - dare I call it a "feel good" movie? The idyllic setting sure doesn't hurt, but it's the performances from the entire cast (not just Clooney) that make this work.
