The Avengers (2012)

They managed a well balanced approach to having so many characters in the movie. This was a great super hero flick that I wasn't at all disappointed in.

The Avengers (2012)

Proof that The Incredible Hulk, as a character, works. While maybe not strong enough a character to hold a movie up on his own, he was the best part about The Avengers. The movie itself was flashy and fun which is exactly what it set out to be. I enjoyed the shit out of it.

The Avengers (2012)

This was the exact tone needed to counter balance the Nolanverse and we got it in spades. These characters are perfect for the lighter tone. Some fantastic moments and action made this one of the best of the superhero movies I've ever seen. All hail Whedon and all hail Hulk.

The Avengers (2012)

Good: Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, Bruce / Tony, ScarJo's bum, the scene with no cuts during the climax, lots of splosions and stuff. Meh: Pretty much everything else.

The Avengers (2012)

It didn't give me syphilis, probably. Things happened. There were noises and huge flying space alligators. Who cares? Harmless, vapid, blustery and stupid with the occasionally entertaining joke usually leaning entirely on the natural charisma of Robert Downey Jr.

The Avengers (2012)

I'd hoped Mr. Whedon would breathe some life into the notoriously banal comic book genre, but sadly this one is no different from the rest. It's not terrible, in fact it's probably still worth seeing, but it's just so damn forgettable. Solution? Less action, better writing.

The Avengers (2012)

Awesome job getting all these characters together, a great feat. The story was good, loaded with action and catchphrases but not much substance.
