The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

Will not bore with a review, will instead direct people to You Tube where they should search and watch "Everything wrong with The Dark Knight in 3 minutes". Funny stuff. "Wait 5 seconds and throw this." I laugh every time.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

Yeah, it was good and yeah, it's a little unfair to compare it to The Dark Knight but I gotta say that this trilogy really deserved a better send off. Oh well, it's the Jedi to Dark Knights Empire. That said it is worth seeing, just temper your expectations a little.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

I need to watch this one again. First thoughts: alright. On the first go it's too easy to expect it to match The Dark Knight, which isn't really fair, I suppose. But I didn't love it at first glance.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

Anne Hathaway + Skin tight spandex. The Dark Knight Rises takes a cue from another Nolan film, The Prestige, in that a pretty woman in a revealing outfit is often enough to distract the audience from the clumsy handiwork at play.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

Not flawless by any means - but very good. Tom Hardy was awesome, the plot was fine, and the movie was full of high quality action. It had a lot to live up to, and although it wasn't as good as 2008 installment, it made a good enough effort to do justice to the series.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

Not nearly as nifty as Nolan's normal knack - his hype's hard to handle. Bane brings bite, beating burnt out Bale. Hathaway ho hum, Gordon-Leavitt grates as guileless gumshoe. Director decent while writing weak. Kind of crappy closure to contrarily kickass collection.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

Okay, I reserve the right to change this review after re-watching the first two movies, but I was really, really disappointed. There was nothing terrible about this, but it was so very, very mediocre. Except for JGL and Anne Hathaway's teeny waist; those things were great.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

Cluttered with a number of lopsidedly misconfigured action tropes and spotty choreography Rises came up a little short of where I had hoped it would land. That said, it was an enjoyable experience, and though cheap at times the emotional pay-off was appropriate and substantial.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

Definitely caught under the grand shadow left by the previous film. Entertaining in some scenes, while cripplingly slow and boring in others. The scenes that had the chance to have the biggest impact seemed to falter under lack of detail and poor presentation e.g. the Bane fight.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

Great, but not the masterpiece I was expecting. Took some issue with the freight train pace, but it was mainly all the angsty Bruce that left a Spiderman 3 taste in my mouth. Still a satisfying end to a sterling trilogy, though I don't imagine I'll remember this one first.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

Enjoyable yet overall, disappointing. The Dark Knight Rises offered many excellent scenes, particularly the Bane introduction; however, it suffered many inconsistencies and felt rather long. Regardless, it was a satisfying finish to an excellent trilogy. Viva Michael Caine.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

Though hard to follow at times, and not as tight as it probably could have been, TDKR is nevertheless a satisfying conclusion to an incredible series. Bale and the regular cast were as good as always, but Hardy and Hathaway were the real standouts. An all round success.
